• Skatingmuseum in Hindeloopen is showing the history of iceskating.
• Visit the Vrouwtje van Stavoren a striking statue in the harbor of Stavoren.
• Frisian Navigationmuseum in Sneek shows the history of the Frisian sea view from the 17th to the 20th century. Also nice to visit with children.
• The city Sloten with his very distinctive town centre is one of the "Elfsteden cities". This city still has his own town crier.
• Doe- en kijk- centrum Nooitgedagt in IJlst, much to do and explore for all ages.
• Eise Eisinga Planetarium in Franeker is the only remaining working Planetarium in the Netherlands. Impressive to see how it shows the current position of the planets.
• Aldfaers Erf Route is an uniek museum trail of about 20 km through Southwest Friesland. A glimpse into the past.

• The Trainmuseum in Sneek, here you find the history of the train. A lot to see and to discover.
• Farmhouse Knorhof in Oudega, Go and visit a typical Dutch pigfarm.
